How do I make an appointment?

Do you provide vacuums?

We do only when specially requested. We do not wish to transfer bugs or allergens from one home to another so we prefer to use our client’s vacuum.

 

Is The Green Clean Co (GreenClean LLC) insured?

Yes, for the safety and security of our clients, The GreenClean LLC is insured.  Additionally, our cleaning teams are employees of our company, not independent contractors.  We are locally owned and operated!

 

What makes you “Green”?

As you can learn from our “Why go green?” page and our “Our Company” page, we choose the safest, natural, non-toxic cleaning products and tools.  We also implement green company practices like direct dispatch to homes, recycling, eco-friendly printing, and more!

How much does it cost?

Not as much as you might think for a high end eco-friendly cleaning.  Check out our pricing guidance here on our Pricing page.

 

How do I pay for it?

Using our convenient online payment system (clickbook), you will be invoiced via PayPal after the service and you can pay using any major credit card or bank account.  If you require another payment method, feel free to call us at 513.400.7435 or fill out this simple contact form with your inquiry/request.

 

What are your hours/times you are available?

Please remember, other larger professional cleaning services (such as Merry Maids and the Maid Brigade) offer a start time of between 9a-5pm (that means they don’t give a start time at all!). We offer morning and afternoon start times…we start between 7:30AM and 10AM for morning cleanings and between 11:30AM and 2PM for afternoon cleanings.  We need a little flexibility in when our cleaners arrive due to things like traffic, but we will try to accommodate your schedule as best we can.  If neither of these start times work for you…or you prefer evening/weekend cleanings feel free to call us at 513.400.7435 or fill out this simple contact form with your inquiry/request.

 

Do I need to be home when the cleaning team arrives?

No!  Actually, many of our clients are not home when we are there.  When you set your appointment you will just have to inform us in the form that is e-mailed to you after booking or just let our office know at least 24hrs prior to your service (513.400.7435). Most clients do one of the following:

  • Leave a key for us in a specific location (and update our office on the location)
  • Attach a lock box to your door knob (and update our office on the combo)
  • Provide our office with the combination for your garage door
  • Arrange for your building manager or concierge to let our cleaner inside

 

One popular is the Master Lock 5400D Select Access Key Storage Box. Please be sure to update our office with the location & the code at least 24hrs (excluding weekends/holidays) prior to your next service date.

If your cleaner cannot enter the home/office upon arrival, a cancellation feel will be billed. Please see below for our cancellation policy.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

We would be grateful that if an appointment needs to be cancelled, you give us at least a 48 hour notice (excluding weekends/holidays).  When a service is canceled less than 48hrs in advance, this usually prevents our ability to book that slot with another client.  IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT, our office requires at least 48hrs notice for all clients.

 

Services canceled within this 48 time-frame will be billed a $50 cancellation fee. Upon-arrival (meaning we arrive at the home without any notice of cancellation and are unable to enter) cancellations and cancellations of within 24hrs will be billed a $100 cancellation fee. Late payments are subject to a 12% per 360 days late fee and will be turned over to collections after 45 days. Please note: once a bill is past due and is turned over to collections, we are unable to reverse this action. Please communicate with us if you are having problems getting your bill up to date.  In the highly unlikely event that something prevents us from showing up for one of our cleaning sessions, you will receive 50% off your next cleaning.

 

Is there a minimum service charge?

Yes, there is a minimum cleaning time of 2 hours.  If it seems to you the cleanings are being completed under the 2 hour time frame, you can leave a list of “nice to have” cleanings and our cleaning team will do their best to add on any reasonable requests within the time frame requested.

 

How does The Green Clean Co. bill? It is by the hour or by the job?

We charge by the job, but it is based on the length of time the bi-weekly cleaning is anticipated to take.

 

My cleaner did a great job, how can I show my appreciation (i.e. tipping)?

A tip is always appreciated – and goes directly to your cleaner (not to the company). A tip is a great way to show your cleaner that you are happy with his or her work. Tips are not “rolled into” our hourly rate, so if you would like to tip your cleaner, you may add the tip into your service total payment (and we will reimburse your cleaner) OR you may tip your cleaner directly. In the cleaning industry (unlike other service industries), it is more common to tip a flat rate as opposed to a percentage.  For example a cleaner may receive a $5 or $10 tip for doing a great job one week, and may receive a slightly bigger tip for the holidays.  This is done at your discretion!

If you forgot to tip, you can simply call us at 513.400.7435 or fill out this simple contact form with your inquiry/request…we will send you an invoice for your requested tip amount or a link for you to “donate” an amount to your cleaning team.

 

What about pets?

You will need to give us special instructions on your pet (let him outside, leave him in his kennel, etc.), but we look at a pet like a member of the family…we even pay a little extra attention and use a couple special tools to try to control the pet hair on furniture.

 

Do I need to supply anything?

Just a vacuum!  As mentioned above we only bring a vacuum when specially requested. We do not wish to transfer bugs or allergens from one home to another so we prefer to use our client’s vacuum.  Our clients are required to use our cleaning products.  If you have a special request call us at 513.400.7435 or fill out this simple contact form with your inquiry/request.

 

We can’t service all homes…

Although it is extremely rare, if there is ever a situation where we have to refuse service to a client, if our cleaners continually feel uncomfortable working for a client and/or if the client harasses or solicits our company and/or cleaners, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

What if I am unhappy with my service?

In the highly unlikely event that you are unhappy with your service, please let us know within 24 hours and we will schedule a no-charge “re-clean” at your earliest convenience.

 

Is that all I need to know?

Once your service is officially booked, you will receive a form with a few quick questions.  By signing up for service with GreenClean LLC., you are agreeing to our terms of service.
